Group Officer – Neville Robert BINGHAM

Neville Robert BINGHAM joined the Melrose Volunteer Fire Brigade on 30^th May 1970. He was elected Deputy Captain on 20^th October 1976.

With the introduction of the Group System in 1982, Mr Bingham became Group Officer for the Devonport Group of Brigades. Mr Bingham has devoted a considerable amount of time to the training and co-ordination of the fire brigades in his Group.

He is a member of the Local Fire Committee and is the Regional President of the Brigades Association in the North West. As a State representative he has attended three National Volunteer Conferences at his own expense.

Mr Bingham has freely given his time to training and establishment of the brigades in his area and has contributed a great amount to the Tasmania Fire Service.
